A Family Portrait

Our sweet friend, Natalie Guillen, took these wonderful portraits of our family at the Rose Park in celebration of Kaden's 6 month birthday. Thanks Nat.

As I'm writing this, Kaden is actually 7 months old ... yeah, I know I'm a little lazy when it come to this blog! The past seven months have been wonderful. We had a rocky start - and maybe everyone does - but now things are great. Even when he's screaming and crying and I have no ideas what to do, things are still perfect and I wouldn't want anything to be different. He is the most beautiful part of my life.

Baltic Amber

So I was at our Tuesday Tummy Time date and one of the moms started talking about how she bought an amber necklace for her son to help with his teething pain. I had never heard of this before and was totally intrigued! Once I started looking around I noticed that a few kiddos at our FAMJAM class were wearing amber necklaces too. The biggest blue eyes ever!

Kaden at 3 months

It seems like he was a baby until he turned 3 months old. At 3 months he gained loads of weight, started splashing the water in the tub, squealing, cooing, fake coughing, and making some of the biggest smiles I've ever seen. He's already growing up too fast! I feel so fortunate to be able to stay home with him and watch him change and grow.

My hair looks really dirty... hey, what can you do? I've got my hands full!

I cannot find one thing that I dislike about this photo. He is just so beautiful!

It is hard to believe that 3 months ago he was half the size he is now.

He's shy about laughing for the camera. I'm working on getting better laughing photos.

It has been such a joy to see Rourke and Kaden interact. Since Rourke is gone for over half of the week, he tries to soak up every last second with Kaden when he gets home. I've included a few shots of the two boys spending time together. We are planning to move to Jemez Springs in the near future - we are all counting down the days....

Our little family

These photos were taken at the beginning of March - so Kaden's actually changed a lot. He's almost 12 pounds!  I really can't believe how fast he's changing. He's started to laugh and giggle. He intentionally grabs for things. We are having so much fun with him. I will post more chubby pictures soon!

Grandparents

In mid February we were lucky to have Elaine, Rourke's mom, stay with us for a week. She cooked, cleaned, held Kaden, etc. It was so nice to relax for a few days. My parents were also in Santa Fe for a short visit.
